White Eagles Over 30 team added another three points in the North Jersey League Over 30 World division. The win basically eliminates Livingston from first place aspirations and leaves the White Eagles Over 30 team with needing three points out of their last two games to claim the title.
The home team had a hard time getting started as Friday night’s overtime win in the semi-final of the State Cup still wore heavily on the team. Livingston started the game in lively fashion as they took a 1-0 lead and a 2-1 lead to stun the home team with their quick counter-attack capability. Even though the White Eagles had the bulk of the possession and most of the opportunities, they could not capitalize on numerous goal scoring opportunities.
This changed in the second half as the chances were converted into goals, 4-2 for White Eagles. Livingston added a third goal two minutes before time to make the end of the game a little nervous for the home team, however 4-3 would be the score at the final whistle.

However on the 22nd minute, a wonderful first touch by Borko Radan released Raki Bojovic on a run where Bojovic coolly finished the play to give the White Eagles a 1-0 nothing lead. In a matter of ten minutes the lead was increased to 4-0 as quick runs down the right-hand side by Milenko Popovic were finished off twice by Miki Kljajic and once more by Bojovic. They did not stop there as soon after they hit the crossbar. After numerous corners, Sportfriends could not get a second, then after a lightning quick counter-attack, Milenko Popovic slid home the fifth goal of the night to take the White Eagles into the next round of the competition.

4/10 NJ Lions – White Eagles Open 8:2
Played at Jannarone Field, Parsippany, NJ
D. Siljanovski (2)
It all started well for the White Eagles, as David Siljanovski opened the scoring to make it 1-0. However this was the beginning of one of the worst losses in recent club history.
NJ Lions completely dominated the game with their tremendous work rate on and off the ball. They played a disciplined game and pounced on every mistake in the defensive end of the White Eagles. Defensively, it was one of the worst performances of the year, and proved to be costly in the end.
Dobrijevic, coach of the White Eagles, said post game, that his team was overconfident coming into the game. He felt that his players, being unbeaten in the league so far, think they just have to show up to get three points. In a very disappointed tone, Dobrijevic said that it might be a good thing to get this loss out of the team’s system early, and it will hopefully be a wake-up to the players moving forward.

The game was back and forth, White Eagles went down 0-1, but quickly fired back to take a 2-1 lead. Diyanet did not give up, as their pair of talented strikers flipped the score to 2-3 in their favor.
Late in the game, Dragan Vasic took a shot that rebounded off the crossbar that rebounded to Milun Rakonjac who guided the ball in over the line. Even though both teams looked for a winner late, there was none to come. One point for each team was a fair result in a very entertaining game.

Parsippany were an able squad who threatened early with some half chances, however late in the second half, outside midfielder Sasa Dobrijevic sent in a wicked cross from the right which leading goal scorer David Siljanovski finished to open the scoring. Siljanovski added to the lead just before half-time to make it 0-2 at the break.
Parsippany seemed to run out of gas in the second half. White Eagles added three more goals, two by Viktor Kotynski and one by Phil Swenda to wrap up the game. Defense, led by Marko Supica, played extremely well to limit the Parsippany chances.
